This Privacy Policy explains how ParkToPlan ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use the ParkToPlan mobile application, website, and related services (the "Service"). It applies to users worldwide.

Information you provide

• Account data: name, email address, password, profile photo, date of birth.
• Profile preferences: favorite parks, ride preferences, accessibility needs, party size, and dietary restrictions.
• Payment data: billing name and address, last 4 digits of card, transaction history. Full card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.
• Communications: messages to support, survey responses, reviews, and ratings.

Information we collect automatically

• Device data: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, unique device identifiers.
• Usage data: screens viewed, features used, rides searched, itineraries created, session duration.
• Location data: precise GPS location (with your permission, while the app is in use) and approximate location from IP address.
• Log data: IP address, browser type, referring pages, error reports, crash logs.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from theme park ticketing partners, social login providers (Apple, Google), analytics providers, and fraud-prevention services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: show wait times, render maps, build itineraries with Hop, sync your account across devices.
• Process transactions: handle subscription payments, send receipts, prevent fraud.
• Personalize: recommend rides, surface nearby attractions, and remember your preferences so you spend less time on your phone.
• Communicate: send transactional emails, push notifications, support replies, and (with your consent) marketing.
• Improve the Service: analyze usage, debug issues, and train our wait time prediction and AI models.
• Safety and legal: enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR / UK)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: to improve the Service, prevent fraud, and conduct analytics.
• Consent: for marketing messages, precise location access, and certain cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. How We Share Information

• Theme park and ticketing partners: when you purchase a ticket or link your park account through the Service.

• Business transfers: if ParkToPlan merges, is acquired, or sells assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.
• With your consent: any other sharing you explicitly authorize.

5. Location Data

• Precise GPS location is collected only when you grant permission, while the app is in use.
• Approximate location (from IP) helps us show the nearest park and relevant information.
• Background location is requested only if you opt in to features that require it.
• We do not sell location data and do not share precise location with advertisers.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our website and app use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (keeping you logged in), analytics, preferences, and marketing (only with consent where required). You can manage preferences through our cookie banner or your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: until you delete your account, plus up to 30 days for backups.
• Transaction records: up to 7 years for tax compliance.
• Location history: up to 90 days, then anonymized or deleted.
• Support communications: up to 3 years.
• Crash and analytics logs: up to 14 months.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. To report a security issue, contact us at security@parktoplan.com.

9. International Transfers

ParkToPlan operates globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. When we transfer data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete your personal information;
• Receive your data in a portable format;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
